Aya Kato’s blog

Aya Kato is one of my favourite artists. That being said, I need to enumerate the qualities that made her artworks special. Although I am not a big fan of digitally produced art, one can still appreciate all the details in her artworks that are beautifully arranged to provide viewers with a calming effect. I particularly love the mixture of art nouveau and Japanese pop culture with a hint of their native mythology as the constant subject of her paintings.

The paintings captured and perfected the smooth curves and light colour palette that is common in art nouveau pieces and also produced a overwhelming femininity.
